The franchisor will see that you have done your homework, and it will be a bigger advantage to all parties when they are training you and supporting your through the opening stages of starting your business, if you are keen and committed to this new venture.
Once you are trained and your full or part time business is up and running, it is your business and they move to the background, available for support and guidance when necessary.
More often than not, depending on the actual one that you choose, there will only be one in your area. If it is for example food franchises, the owner may help you choose the right location and the right premises. There will be a standard of the merchandise or goods and logos and uniform.
That is one of the reasons a business is so successful. The franchisor has already perfected the method of getting this product or service out to market. When a customer sees the recognisable brand or logo, they walk in and immediately recognise the menu boards and the uniform for example. They may already even know what they want!
Whats important to you
None is too big or too small. It is entirely up to you, the style of business you are looking for, and the hours you want to work, if you want to work part time or work from home or on the road.
Probably in the beginning you will be so excited and enthusiastic you will work all the hours available in a day, but as you get more comfortable in your new role, you will be able to sit back and work out exactly what works best for you in order to build a successful business and have a life outside of your new growing franchise business.
