Computer Franchises It’s Not Just Computers

Nothing is done without a computer or some sort of software package or app nowadays. Grandparents and great-grand parents are using all the latest technology.

Children are learning how to use computers in school, and there is an actual medical complaint called ‘text neck’. So often we can be found with our heads bent down glued to our phones reading text messages or surfing the net.

Children are becoming overweight from too much TV and video games, and from too rarely going to play outside. Most kids are simply not running around the park kicking a ball or playing tag, or British bull dog. Is this a thing of the past?

Statistics from the National Obesity Forum show that more than half of the population is overweight in most European countries. Studies show that most children spend 2 hours per day in front of a screen.

In a study observing children’s attitudes to exercising the National Obesity Forum said “Research was undertaken after a study revealed that children were 6 times more likely to take part in regular exercise if it involved a video game and interactive games.

The analysis does not prove video games cause obesity, but it does show games consoles are perfectly placed to help kids be more active. Combining video games and exercise could be their first step to healthy, active lives”.

Expanding industry for many skills

So based on this information, computers and computer games and consoles are not going anywhere fast. Computer and computer franchise opportunities are out there for the long term.

The entry level fee for a computer business can be anything from £1000 to £20,000 and beyond for gaming franchises, funding, travel, tax accountants, property & estate agency and more.

From designing and creating websites, to IT support to an online travel & leisure business. Whatever your skillset there is a computer business  to suit what you are looking for. You may already be a wiz on the computer and you may already be a teacher so you may opt for a computer type relating to education.

Don’t forget though that the owner teaches the business from start to finish so if you want to learn something completely new, the possibilities are endless. Quite often a franchisor is looking for recruits who they can train from scratch. That way there are no bad habits to break. Often times too, a whole new industry creates that buzz and enthusiasm to throw yourself in to.

Think outside the box

There is a wealth of information out there for people trying to find the right computer service niche. Whether it is products you sell in a virtual world, where you don’t actually hold or store the goods, only on-sell them, or online services you intend to get involved in, like business training or teaching a second language, there is a way to narrow the search.
